Traces de soi is a video
and graphic performance created during workshops with three groups of children.
In the framework of a research on signature, we suggested drawing their initials in the air with a part of their body to each of
them.
Simultaneously
we associated to each "mime child" a "scribe child" in charge of a
transcription of the movement as fairly as possible on a sheet of paper
with invisible ink. We want to favour listening to a
movement rather than reading a sign, the meeting of two "characters"
between paper and video image.
Altogether
with an original music created by the collective, this short-movie is the
trailer of an exhibition displayed at the MACT.
